T8 LED Lamp |
T8 LED (Light Emitting Diode) lamp is one
of the LED lamp assemblies that has been replacing traditional fluorescent lamps.
It's super bright, no ballast required and saves you money on replacement and maintenance
costs. T8 LED lamps take advantage of LED's inherent directionality to generate
the same useable light for half the wattage, instead of lighting up the inside of
your fixture, they send the light where you want it. Due to the directional nature
of their light emission, LEDs potentially have higher application efficiency than
other light sources in certain lighting applications. Fluorescent and standard 'bulb'
shaped incandescent lamps emit light in all directions. Much of the light produced
by the lamp is lost within the fixture, reabsorbed by the lamp, or escapes from
the fixture in a direction that is not useful for the intended application. For
many fixture types, including recessed downlights, and under-cabinet fixtures, it
is not uncommon for 40-50% of the total light output of the lamp(s) to be lost before
it exits the fixture. T8 LED lamp, with double the service efficiency inside the
fixture, they're a great energy-saving replacement.
LEDs are solid-state lighting components. They have no moving, fragile parts and
can last for years. They can be many times more energy efficient than traditional
light bulbs, depending on the application. Just as vacuum tubes in televisions were
replaced with solid-state components, the last remaining vacuum tube light bulbs
are being replaced by solid-state components.
The main potential of LED bulbs is that they can last 30,000 hrs or about more than
three years. This is three to five times longer than most fluorescent ones (CFLs).
